Until December 2018, Waste Management Society, Yavatmal (WMS), worked through its project ‘Justice and Care’, fighting human trafficking through prevention, protection, prosecution and partnerships across India. Over the years, our work has helped save many lives, brought hope to the hopeless, and given them new beginnings. VIHAAN, our project’s new name, closely captures what we do and stand for.
Vihaan seeks to model, institutionalise and scale effective solutions specific to the crime of human trafficking and other forms of abuse and exploitation. We work with victims of sexual abuse and exploitation, bonded and child labour, domestic servitude and beggary.
